I’m Kyle Mullins, professionally lead DJ of More Than Just Music, serving weddings and events throughout the Pacific Northwest.

I started DJing back in 2009. What started as a passion for music quickly became something much bigger. Over the years, I learned that being a great DJ isn’t just about playing good songs. It’s about reading the room, knowing when to switch things up, controlling the energy, and understanding what’s going to get people out of their seats and onto the dance floor.

In 2019, I officially started More Than Just Music and turned years of DJ experience into a full-service entertainment company.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to DJ everything from smaller, intimate celebrations to large weddings and events with hundreds of guests. I specialize in weddings and multicultural events, and one of my favorite parts of what I do is bringing different cultures, generations, and music styles together on the same dance floor.

When I DJ a wedding, I’m thinking about the entire day, not just the dance floor. From the ceremony and cocktail hour to dinner, formalities, and open dancing, every part of the day should flow naturally into the next.

The same goes for MCing. I’m not there to make the wedding about me or spend all night on the microphone. My job is to keep everything moving, make clear announcements, bring energy when it’s needed, and let the important moments speak for themselves.

And because I’m both the owner and the DJ, I’m personally involved throughout the process. We’ll plan together, talk through your vision, build out the music, and make sure the details are handled before your event ever arrives.

 

For me, More Than Just Music has always been about exactly what the name says. Music is a huge part of what I do, but the experience is about much more than a playlist.

It’s about creating the right atmosphere, keeping the night flowing, bringing people together, and giving you and your guests a celebration that actually feels like you.
